CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Games against nine teams that qualified for the 2015 NCAA Tournament highlight an 18-game regular season slate for the 2016 University of North Carolina women’s soccer team. The Tar Heels’ complete 2016 schedule was announced by the University’s athletic department and head coach Anson Dorrance on Thursday afternoon.
The Tar Heels play seven of 18 regular season games at home at Fetzer Field. The Heels open the season the weekend of August 19 & 21 with the annual Carolina Nike Classic as UNC will host Central Florida, coached by 1998 UNC alumna Tiffany Roberts, on Friday and Charlotte on Sunday.
