Jonathan Campbell added another award to his already full trophy case on Thursday when the North Carolina defender was named to the Scholar All-America First Team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
From Greensboro, N.C., the recent UNC grad compiled a 3.92 grade-point-average as a business administration major. In fact, his GPA was tops among the 11 members of the first team.
Last week, Campbell became the first student-athlete in Carolina men’s soccer history to earn first team NSCAA All-America honors and first team Academic All-America honors by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
