Caleb Hood posts an emotional social media message to announce his retirement

Caleb Hood is ready for the next chapter in his life.

The fifth-year senior announced on social media that he is retiring from the sport of football. A Rockingham, North Carolina native, Hood appeared in 31 games during his time with the UNC football program.

“After much thought and prayer and discussion with my family, I have decided to retire from the sport of football. My journey at UNC has been special, and I appreciate my time here.
