North Carolina's Michael Busch and Caden O'Brien have been named to the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Baseball Team, announced Tuesday by the league. The Tar Heels are part of a 50-member team that includes at least one student-athlete from each ACC school that sponsors baseball.
Busch, an economics major from Inver Grove Heights, Minn., plays first base and earned All-ACC and second-team All-Atlantic Region honors. He batted .317, second on the team, in 2018.
O'Brien, an exercise and sport science major from Maiden, N.C., is a left-handed pitcher who made 30 appearances in his first collegiate season and finished with a 7-0 record.
