High school recruiting is never officially completed until a student-athlete actually steps foot on campus to begin their respective college athletics career.
In this day and age, student-athletes tend to change their mind more often than not, regardless of how long they've been committed to a respective program. Other factors (such as coaching changes or personal reasons) also play a huge role, and outside noise from the media indicating that things are not going well for a certain program.
