CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina men's basketball team begins the 2019-20 regular-season schedule on Nov. 6 at home against Notre Dame, marking the first time the Tar Heels have opened with an Atlantic Coast Conference game since playing Clemson to start the 1966-67 season.
The UNC-Notre Dame game is the first of 20 ACC contests. This is the first season in which the league's 15 teams will play 20 conference games after seven seasons with an 18-game league schedule.
The Irish are one of six ACC opponents the Tar Heels play twice this season, along with Duke, NC State, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest and Virginia.
