WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The No. 1 North Carolina women's tennis team found itself trailing for the time this season, but rallied by winning all six singles matches to secure a 6-1 victory at No. 14 Wake Forest on Sunday afternoon.
North Carolina improves to 18-0 overall and 6-0 against the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Demon Deacons slip to 9-4, 1-3.
The Tar Heels gave away the doubles point for the first time in 2020. After a 6-0 court-one victory by No. 4 Sara Daavettila and Alexa Graham, the Demon Deacons rallied very well with consecutive wins on the remaining two courts to grab the early 1-0 lead.
