Have you ever been in a position of leadership?
I’m not talking about coaching your daughter’s rec basketball team type of leadership. I’m talking about high-stakes leadership. The kind where you need to take men from different backgrounds, who have different personalities, and different personal goals, and ask them to put aside all of those differences in order to build towards a collective goal. A goal for which you set the vision on how it’s achieved.
That’s the job of a college coach. And it was always hard, but I’d argue it’s never been harder than it is today.
