Flying in the face of debbie-downer pessimistic so-called prognosticators, NC State actually played a football game in this year that is somehow STILL 2020. Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, at least we have had that one bright memory to light up these gloomy days (I’ve had to watch too many of those “in these times...” commercials).
I have to be honest, I didn’t think it would happen. Now, that joy may be short lived given what Justin Fuente said about Virginia Tech’s status. It would be too easy for us to say, “hey man, just play with who ya got” until we remember that the Wolfpack played its first game in Week 2 of the season because the first date with VT due to a COVID cluster AT STATE.
