NC State joined other area schools Tuesday in announcing the cancellation of its home football game this weekend. The Wolfpack were set to host West Virginia at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, but with Hurricane Florence bearing down on the state, it’s in everyone’s best interests not to play.

NC State has worked in partnership with University leadership, West Virginia University officials, the Atlantic Coast Conference and emergency management personnel to arrive at a decision in the best interests of the safety and well-being of fans, student-athletes and all parties involved.
