Wake Forest will be without their starting quarterback, Freshman Sam Hartman, who broke a bone in his foot against Syracuse this past Saturday.
Hartman had passed for 1,984 yards (55.3%) and 16 touchdowns (8 interceptions) through 9 games. He also rushed for 275 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Sophomore Jamie Newman has been named the starter against the Woflpack, with Junior Kendall Hinton slotted as his backup.
NC State head coach Dave Doeren mentioned in his press conference yesterday that they are familiar with both Newman and Hinton.
“We expect to see quite a bit of QB run from them with the injuries they’ve had.
