Earlier this month, “Old Tuffy” beer became official. Back in April the possibility of a New Belgium Beer released in partnership with NC State was a possibility, but now it’s officially a reality.
Here’s the official statement from NC State:
NC State University today announced an agreement with New Belgium Brewing Company that will provide annual support to student-success initiatives and research projects and help further develop the fermentation science program at the university. As part of the agreement, New Belgium has been granted licensing rights to brew Old Tuffy Premium Lager which will be available in retail outlets throughout North Carolina beginning in August.
