So, as you may know, UNC met with the NCAA for their hearing on their academic scandal. The meeting took place in Nashville and went on for almost 10 hours. Inside the sealed-off room was the NCAA infractions committee led by SEC commission Greg Sankey. For UNC, it was Lissa Broome, faculty athletics representative, Bubba Cunningham, director of athletics, Larry Fedora, head football coach, Sylvia Hatchell, head women’s basketball coach, Vince Ille, senior associate director of athletics/compliance, Marielle vanGelder, compliance officer, Roy Williams, head men’s basketball coach. All of the UNC coaches had lawyers, of course.
What went on that in the room may not be known unless UNC wants to share it.
