T.Y. McGill Solidifying His Spot

From undrafted to vying for a starting job. That’s the story of former NC State Defensive Tackle T.Y. McGill.

What a difference a year can make.

After graduating from NC State last Spring, McGill didn’t get an invite to the NFL Combine, and didn’t hear his name called during the 2015 NFL draft. McGill was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks, and while head coach Pete Carroll had great things to say about McGill, he was waived shortly thereafter.

On September 6th, the Colts signed McGill to a 3-year $1.575 million contract.
