There was no hangover for N.C. State after winning in Tallahassee—the Pack scored on their opening drive for the fifth time in five games and jumped to a 13-0 lead—but perhaps, after the emotional road win over FSU and rolling Syracuse in the first half, State slipped into coast mode a wee bit too early. To their credit, the Orange battled back from a huge halftime deficit and made it a game, but the Pack held on to win 33-25. If they were looking ahead, the Pack certainly set up an intriguing contest Thursday night in what could be a matchup of ranked teams against Louisville.
