We have already reported that Josh Jones, Stephen Louis, Matt Dayes, Juston Burris, Tyler Jones were released by NFL teams, but over the weekend, 6 other former Wolfpacker’s were cut as well.
For the second year in a row, Defensive Back Johnathan Alston was signed to a team in the offseason, but failed to make the 53-man roster. Alston went undrafted in 2018, but signed up with the Dolphins afterwards, but failed to make the cut. The same thing happened with the Lions this offseason, with Alston being released Saturday.
Alston spent his first three years playing Wide Receiver at NC State before switching to Cornerback his final season.
