TAIPEI, Taiwan – The National Taiwan Sports University has proven to be a welcoming place for the NC State men’s & women’s swimming & diving team, as Justin Ress won silver in the 50-meter backstroke, Hannah Moore won bronze in the 1500 freestyle, and Ryan Held qualified as the No. 1 seed for tomorrow night’s final of the 100 freestyle on day four of the World University Games.
Ress fell agonizingly short of a gold medal, finishing in 24.73, trailing Shane Ryan of Ireland by only 0.1 of a second. Moore’s time of 16.11.68 seconds earned bronze, as she added another medal to the Pack’s tally.
