RALEIGH – The NC State men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to play in a doubleheader exhibition on Sunday, Oct. 26 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. The women’s team will tip off vs. Maryland at 2 p.m. and the men’s team will follow by playing South Carolina at 4:30 p.m.
Although the games won’t count toward either team’s overall record, the Wolfpack and Terrapins have a rich history in the all-time series being former Atlantic Coast Conference foes. NC State leads in the all-time series, 45-36.
An original founding member of the ACC like the Wolfpack, South Carolina and NC State have played each other 77 times on the hardwood, but have played each other just five times since the Gamecocks left the ACC after the conclusion of the 1971 season.
