NC State improved to 9–4 on Sunday, defeating Davidson (9–5) 68–59 on the road.
The Wolfpack jumped out to a 16-point lead by the end of the first quarter, holding Davidson to a measly four points. The Wildcats responded by outscoring NC State by 13 points over the next two quarters. NC State regrouped, winning the fourth quarter by six to secure the victory.
NC State was led by another double-double from junior forward Khamil Pierre, who finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Pierre now has eight double-doubles in 13 games to start the season. She made six of 10 shots from the field and is now shooting 51.
