Finally! Oklahoma Transfer Running Back Daylan Smothers (5’11″/190) has committed to NC State.
Back in December, Smothers’ took an Official Visit to NC State on the weekend of December 15th. Smothers didn’t visit any other schools. After his visit, behind the scenes, Smothers’ desire to commit to NC State was known. There have simply been details that needed to be figured out, and obviously those details have been figured out.
Smothers was a 4-Star prospect (ESPN & Rivals) in the 2023 recruiting class out of Charlotte, and chose Oklahoma over NC State, Alabama and FSU. ESPN ranked Smothers as the #230 overall player nationally in the 2023 recruiting class, and the #12 Running Back.
