It was a hectic weekend so I couldn’t give the women’s basketball team its proper due on Saturday for put together yet another impressive performance against a top five-opponent. Quick starts have been a staple of this season for the Wolfpack and that continued against Colorado, as the Pack held a 22-6 lead after the first quarter.
NC State began the game on a 9-0 run and never trailed, and spent the bulk of the day up double figures. Colorado managed to trim the lead to 11 late in the second quarter, but the Pack pushed the advantage back to 15, and led by as many as 27 points in the second half.
