NC State Junior Point Guard Markell Johnson earned ACC Player of the Week honors for his career performance against Auburn last Wednesday.
Johnson scored a career-high 27 points in NC State’s 78-71 win over seventh-ranked Auburn on Wednesday night. The Cleveland, Ohio, junior scored 19 of his 27 points in the second half, including 16 in the final 10 minutes of the game. The win was the first for NC State over a top-10 ranked opponent at home since beating No. 8 Kentucky, 54-51, on Feb. 2, 1986. (ACC)
