The Bronko Nagurski Award is given annually to the individual deemed the best defensive player in college football by the Football Writer’s Association of America, and there’s no question Bradley Chubb is right near the top of that list. He is one of five finalists for the award.
The other finalists: Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith, Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell (good name!), and Houston DT Ed Oliver.
If Chubb keeps putting up the kind of numbers he produced at Boston College last weekend, it’d be hard to give this trophy to anybody else.
