After losing their season opener to #15 South Carolina, the #21 NC State Women’s Soccer team rebounded, taking down #7 Georgetown on the road yesterday.
After Georgetown put the first ball through the net in the 33rd minute of the 1st half, NC State went on to score 3 unanswered goals.
Sophomore Toni Starova scored on a penalty kick less than a minute after the Hoyas goal, and the score remained 1-1 going into the half.
Senior Tziarra King showed why she was a Preseason All-ACC selection, and had a ball on her birthday. King scored two goals in the second half, securing a 3-1 victory over a Top-10 opponent.
