Head Coach Will Wade announced yesterday that NC State Men’s Basketball will host Texas Southern for their annual Heritage Game in Reynolds Coliseum.
The Tigers were 15-17 overall this past season and 12-6 in the SWAC. Texas Southern finished 4th in the conference, losing to #5 seed Alabama State 79-84 in the quarterfinals.
Since Johnny Jones was named head coach at Texas Southern in 2018-19, the Tigers have won the SWAC Conference Tournament three times (2021, 2022, and 2023).
Jones was the head coach at LSU from 2012 until Will Wade took over in 2017.
This will mark the second time the Wolfpack and the Tigers have played one another.
