NC State and Duke will meet on the football field tomorrow for the 86th time in series history, which dates back to 1924. The Blue Devils currently hold a 43-37-5 edge over the Wolfpack. Each team has a winning record at home, with Duke boasting a 25-16-2 mark in Durham.
After the series began in 1924, the two schools — separated by just 22 miles — played every single year (except 1944 due to World War II) until 2003, when the ACC expanded. Tomorrow’s game will mark just the seventh meeting between the two teams since expansion.
The Wolfpack has struggled against the Blue Devils during Dave Doeren’s tenure, going 1-3 since 2013 and losing both games in Durham.
