That was the most forgettable first half of NC State football that I can remember ... wait, wait what was that? ... ahem, anyway, despite a poor first half, and a bad third quarter, NC State woke up to roll UNC, 33-21. Mostly it wasn’t pretty, but it worked, and you damned well best believe we’ll take it.
NC State took an early 6-0 lead after stopping the Tar Heels on their first drive, but State also missed the extra point on that touchdown, which portended a poor half to come. UNC responded well, its credit, and led 14-12 at the break.
