NC State’s preseason tune-up against Elizabeth City State was a success in that the Wolfpack won and nobody got hurt. These are the only two requirements for an exhibition game. Jericole Hellems led all NC State scorers with 16 points on 4-7 shooting in 23 minutes. No Wolfpack player logged more than 23 minutes.
Four Factors
It wasn’t exactly a dominant offensive performance, but more than good enough for an easy win because ECSU turned the ball over on more than a third of its possessions. That is very bad.
It’s tough to build offensive continuity in a game like this where playing time is split about as evenly as possible across 10 guys.
