NC State is 23-5 this season and 9-3 in the ACC, it has a top-20 RPI, and it is in first place in the Atlantic Division. The Wolfpack hasn’t lost a conference series yet and has to its credit an impressive three-game sweep at Clemson. All of this has the Pack well-positioned for the NCAA tournament at this point.
D1Baseball.com’s mid-season tournament projection has the Wolfpack as the No. 6 overall seed, which is an extremely ideal scenario. As a top-eight seed, NC State would host a regional and would be locked in as a super regional host if it advanced.
