TAIPEI, Taiwan – Day two of the World University Games was another memorable one for the NC State men’s & women’s swimming & diving team, as Justin Ressearned his second gold medal in as many days by winning the 100-meter backstroke, and Alexia Zevnik won silver the 200 backstroke, breaking the team record in the process at the National Taiwan Sports University.
Ress, fresh off a gold medal yesterday in the 400 freestyle relay, further solidified himself as a rising star of world swimming by completing the 100 backstroke in 53.29, only 0.2 off his best time in his gold medal-winning effort.
