After falling in dramatic fashion to Stetson in Game 1 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, NC State rebounded with a 12-0 win over Central Connecticut State in Game 2 of the Auburn Regional.
Sophomore Ryan Marohn was sensational, picking up his 8th win of the season with 8 scoreless innings, striking out 10 — the most since March 9th, when he struck out 14 Wright State batters. Marohn has had a fabulous sophomore campaign, boasting an 8-3 record with a 3.09 ERA.
Three Wolfpack batters hit home runs, contributing to 7 of NC State’s 12 runs. Sophomore catcher Alex Sosa got things started with a 2-RBI home run in the top of the 1st.
