There was a big game across town last night, but the most exciting game in the Triangle was in PNC Arena, with NC State defeating Boston College 89-80 in overtime.
For a majority of the game, it didn’t look like overtime was in the cards.
The Wolfpack led for all but 25 seconds in the first half, led by 12 points at one point, and boasted a 46-37 lead at the break.
Sophomore Braxton Beverly blistered the nets in the first, hitting 4 0f 7 from beyond the arch, walking into the locker room at the half with 15 points (0 in the 2nd half).
