NC State recently hosted 6’7 wing Atticus Taylor on a visit, and that sealed the deal for him. Taylor announced his commitment to play for the Wolfpack on Twitter Friday night. Since he is a junior college transfer, he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining at NC State.
Taylor averaged 9.0 points per game for Southwest Mississippi Community College this past season, making 12 starts. He shot a solid 37% from beyond the arc, though most of his offensive production came from two. Taylor also made 74% of his free throw attempts.
He was being recruited by Buzz Williams, who hosted him at Virginia Tech in January and then again at Texas A&M in April.
