NC State picks up commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Anthony Carter Jr.

NC State nabbed a late addition to its 2020 recruiting class this week when in-state offensive lineman Anthony Carter Jr. committed to the Wolfpack. Carter missed the early signing window, so he’ll have to wait until the more traditional February date to make his commitment official.

Carter has an offer sheet that includes UNC, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Louisville, and Duke. He’s a top-30 player in North Carolina this cycle, per 247Sports, and listed at 6’4 and 296 pounds. He’s listed as a guard prospect in the database, though it looks like he handled the right tackle spot during his senior year of high school.
