NC State Legend Philip Rivers Retires as a Charger

After spending his first 16 seasons with the Chargers, NC State legend Philip Rivers played his final year in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts.

But it was always Rivers’ dream to retire as a member of the Chargers.

That dream has now come true.

Rivers has signed a one-day contract with the Bolts, allowing him to officially retire as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers.

Philip is the best Quarterback in Chargers’ history, holding the record in passing yards (59,271), touchdowns (397), completions (4,908) and attempts (7,591).

Rivers ranks in the Top-10 in NFL history in numerous career statistical passing categories:

Passing Yards: 63,440 (6th)

Touchdown Passes: 421 (6th)

Completions: 5,277 (8th)

Wins: 134 (9th)

One of the most impressive things he ever did in his career was start 240 consecutive games, which is the 2nd longest streak in NFL history by a Quarterback.
