NC State is back in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2015 Hurray and what have ya. NC State is the No. 9 seed in the Midwest and will open the tournament against No. 8 Seton Hall in Wichita, KS. The winner of that game will most likely face No. 1 seed Kansas in the second round.
Both Clemson (No. 5) and Duke (No. 2) are also in the Midwest.
Based on the seed that NC State received, it was pretty comfortably in the field—well above the cut line, not a consideration for the First Four in Dayton.
