NC State returns home from a successful two-game road trip to host Boston College on Tuesday night. The Eagles are another ACC squad fighting desperately for a potential NCAA tournament bid, though the odds are stacked pretty high against them at this point.
But even being vaguely in the post-season picture is progress for Boston College, which won six ACC games over Jim Christian’s first three seasons in Chestnut Hill. The Eagles are markedly improved this season, having already doubled Christian’s ACC win total, and at times they’ve been legitimately good. They have wins over Duke, Miami, and Florida State to their credit, which is a decent collection of quality wins.
