NC State guard Braxton Beverly fractures hand in practice

NC State announced Monday that sophomore guard Braxton Beverly fractured his left hand during practice last week. The injury requires surgery, and he’ll undergo the procedure on Tuesday. His left hand is his non-shooting hand. As of now, there’s no timetable for his return.

I can’t imagine he’ll be ready for the season-opener, which is barely two weeks away, but hopefully he’ll be able to work his way back into the rotation well before league play starts. If this is something like a 6-8 week recovery, six weeks from today would be Dec. 3, so he’d be on the shelf for all of November.
