NC State got good news on the recruiting front Sunday night when Heritage High School (NC) defensive end Joseph Boletepeli announced his commitment to the Wolfpack. Boletepeli is the second player from Heritage to commit to State, joining four-star running back Ricky Person, who is currently the top-rated player in the class.
Boletepeli is a consensus three-star prospect, but he has an impressive offer sheet that includes Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, UNC, Maryland, South Carolina, and Tennessee, among plenty of others. He is listed at 6’4 and 244 pounds by 247Sports.
Dave Doeren’s staff has done an excellent job of securing talent in NC State’s back yard: the Pack has verbals from three other Raleigh kids in addition to Boletepeli and Person, and the cream of State’s current class hails from Raleigh (Person, Sanderson’s Alim McNeill).
