NC State cornerback Mike Stevens is apparently ahead of schedule in his recovery from a leg injury, which is very good news for a Wolfpack secondary that showed its inexperience in some very inopportune ways against South Carolina.
According to Dave Doeren, Stevens is unlikely to miss more than one more game, and at least now we’ve gotten to a point where State can survive a little longer without him. The Wolfpack will be heavy favorites against both Marshall and Furman over the next two weeks and should be able to handle the Thundering Herd without Stevens’ help.
