For the second year in a row, NC State has a first-round NFL Draft pick. Last year it was defensive end Bradley Chubb, who was selected by Denver, and this year it’s center Garrett Bradbury, who is now a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
Vikings fans seem to be pretty good about this, given there’s nothing glamorous about drafting an offensive lineman.
Bradbury’s story is well-worn by this point—he was a little-known tight end prospect when Dave Doeren offered him a scholarship, and he developed into an elite interior offensive lineman.
He has the right disposition to play center and I suspect he’ll be a good one for the Vikings.
