NC State athletics department announces pay cuts, furloughs

In a letter to NC State fans on Thursday, Wolfpack athletics director Boo Corrigan announced that the school is implementing pay cuts and furloughs for department employees, beginning on Oct. 24. Corrigan says that NCSU is looking at a loss of revenue between $25-$35 million because of the coronavirus.

Due to the circumstances and reality we face, effective October 24, 2020 through June 30, 2021, we will implement temporary salary reductions or furloughs to each permanent member of our staff, as follows:

Coaches and staff members making $200,000 or more will have their salaries temporarily reduced by 20 percent.
