NC State lost some good folks on the recruiting/creative side this offseason: Director of Player Personnel Billy Glasscock left for the same job at Texas, and Director of Creative Media Chanelle Smith-Walker moved on to Tennessee. Both of those roles have become increasingly important in modern college football.
The Wolfpack made four additions to help fill out its recruiting staff, and gave Merci Falaise a promotion to the Director of Player Personnel position. Mike Jones, who spent the last two seasons at UNC, is the new Director of Creative Media.
Corey Phillips was hired away from Vanderbilt to be NC State’s Director of Scouting and he’ll be hands-on with a variety of recruiting-related tasks.
