MJ Morris will be Taking Over as NC State’s Starting Quarterback

Head Coach Dave Doeren announced today at his weekly press conference that Sophomore MJ Morris will be taking over as NC State’s starting Quarterback effective immediately.

We were not alone in believing the Brennan Armstrong experiment needed to be over. It looks like the Wolfpack coaching staff agreed.

MJ Morris was thrust into an unexpected role last year as a True Freshman. Morris entered last years Fall Camp as the 3rd string Quarterback, behind starter Devin Leary and backup Jack Chambers. After Leary was injured, Chambers was the next man up. After Chambers failed to be the answer the Wolfpack offense needed, an 18-year old Morris was handed the ball, and the results were outstanding.
