Former NC State running back Matt Dayes was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday.
Dayes was signed to the 49ers Practice Squad on October 9th, and was called up to the 53-man roster on November 12th. In total, Dayes played 7 games in 2018, seeing all of his action on special teams (2 tackles).
In 2017, the Browns drafted Dayes in the 7th round, and he played in all 16 games for Cleveland that year.
You would expect that Dayes would get a shot to make another teams roster this offseason.
