Marie Eline Madsen is the 1st All-American in NC State Women’s Golf History

Freshman Marie Eline Madsen is the first All-American in NC State Women’s Golf history, earning WGCA Second Team All-America honors.

After earning a spot on the All-ACC Team, Madsen went on to win the NCAA Charlottesville Regional, becoming the first Wolfpack Women’s golfer to ever win an NCAA Regional. Her scoring average of 71.23 is the best single season average in school history. Madsen finished the season ranked 26th nationally.

As a Freshman, Madsen picked up 2 wins, eight Top-10 finishes, eleven Top-20 finishes. The only time she finished outside the Top-20 all season was in the National Championship.
