Everyone assumed when the Timberwolves drafted former Duke point guard Tyus Jones that he would be the automatic backup to Ricky Rubio. Kyle Ratke, the web editor of Timberwolves.com, says not so fast. In his article on Brown from yesterday he cites his high percentage shooting, his composure running the offense, and his success running the pick-and-roll as reasons he should be a #2 point guard on an NBA roster somewhere. If the T-Wolves do pick up his option for the second year of his contract, and plays like he has this summer, Flip Saunders might be forced to play him more.
