Bradley Chubb will be missed by all of us next year for myriad reasons—he is the most prolific pass-rusher in NC State history, a first-team All-American, and as it goes with those things, one of the all-time greats ever to play for the Wolfpack. Over the last two years he’s been one of the most disruptive defensive linemen in the country, and he owns NC State’s sack record.
But you know all of that. Some of Chubb’s greatness isn’t defined by what shows up in the box score every week. You can’t fully account for the impact a great player has on a game—the attention he takes, the double teams he gets that put teammates in better positions to succeed, etc.
