Jaylen Samuels, Bradley Chubb earn midseason first-team All-America honors from AP

NC State has two players on the Associated Press’ mid-season first-team All-America team, and it is just the two you guessed: defensive end Bradley Chubb and Jaylen Samuels, who plays the Jaylen Samuels position. Nyheim Hines received second-team honors at the all-purpose position.

Chubb is second nationally in tackles for loss with 13.0, putting him on pace to surpass the 21.5 TFLs he recorded as a junior in 2016. He can definitely help solidify his spot on the first team with standout performances over the next few weeks.

Samuels, meanwhile, is fourth among FBS players in total receptions and he’s also averaging more than six yards per carry, which is some pretty good work.
