Injuries are piling up in NC State’s secondary again

Really, universe? You’re doing this again to us? What, last season wasn’t ridiculous enough, there’s gotta be more? Amazing how a rash of injuries can target the weakest spots on the roster, ain’t it.

NC State’s secondary figured to be a liability even when fully healthy, but “fully healthy” flew out the window in a hurry. Cornerback Teshaun Smith is out for the season with a shoulder injury; safety Tanner Ingle missed the Virginia Tech game and his status remains in question for Pitt; safety Rakeim Ashford got banged up against the Hokies, making him a question mark; and safety Khalid Martin suffered that scary injury on a collision during the second half on Saturday.
